lake powell water data
Glen Canyon Dam holding Lake Powell was completed in 1963, but it took until 1980 for Lake Powell to reach its full length and depth. Lake Powell water sources are the Colorado, Green, San Juan, Dirty Devil, San Rafael, Mill Creek and Escalante rivers. In total, the amount of water flowing into Lake Powell is in the neighborhood of 1 trillion cubic feet per day. Water is very refreshing during warm months though too cold for comfort during winter.
